Location
If you grant location permission, your coordinates are used on your device to find the closest station. They are never sent to our servers and never leave your device.
Server requests
Requests to the server carry standard HTTP metadata (IP address, user agent). Raw IP addresses are never stored. Usage is measured in anonymized form. The hosting provider may retain short operational logs for reliability.
Analytics
Anonymous, cookieless analytics measures usage in aggregate, such as how many people use the app each day. The app stores a random identifier, to help count unique devices. Nothing can be linked to your identity, and no personal data is shared with third parties.
On your device
Transit data, app preferences, and a random analytics identifier are stored locally. Uninstall the app or clear site data to remove them.
Data accuracy
Arrival times, alerts, and the timetable come from the public WMATA API and are provided as is. WMATA does not guarantee that the data is accurate, complete, or timely, and neither do we. Use it as a guide, not a guarantee.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top updates. The current version is always the one posted here.
